The Right Base. The Right Stone. Done Right.
A gravel driveway is only as good as what's underneath it. Jostmeyer Land Solutions brings the grading expertise and equipment to properly shape the subgrade, install geotextile fabric where needed, and apply the right stone for your soil, traffic load, and drainage conditions. We work on everything from short residential runs to quarter-mile farm lanes across Clay, Platte, and Ray County.
- New driveway installation from subgrade up
- Existing driveway grading, regrading, and topdressing
- Proper crown and side drainage to prevent washouts
- Geotextile fabric installation for soft or wet subgrades
- Limestone, chat, and crushed rock options
- Barn yards, equipment pads, and rural access roads
- Culvert and pipe installation for driveway crossings
Our Approach
Graded for Drainage. Built for Work.
Washboards and potholes come from poor grading, not poor gravel. We shape the subgrade first — crown it in the middle so water sheds to the sides, pitch it toward proper outlets, and address any low spots before a single load of rock goes down. When the ground beneath moves, so does your driveway; we solve that with fabric and the right base course before topping with your finish stone.
We haul and spread our own materials. No subcontractors, no scheduling gaps. You deal with one crew from the first phone call to the last pass of the blade.

How It Works
Our Process
Straightforward from first call to final pass.
We drive or walk the full run, look at drainage patterns, existing subgrade condition, and discuss stone type and depth to give you an accurate quote.
Old material is stripped or shaped, the subgrade is graded with proper crown and drainage pitch, low spots are built up, and fabric goes down where needed.
A compacted base course of larger crushed stone locks the foundation. Finish stone goes on top — spread and graded to your specified depth and crown.
The finished surface gets a final blade pass to confirm crown and pitch, edges are cleaned up, and the site is left ready to drive on immediately.
